Callum was the recipient of our first Clipper bursary. He was introduced to us by the CatZero charity in Hull who helped him find direction in life through sailing.

No special skills are needed and we will provide training and cover your expenses. All young people need to meet adults outside their families and communities who are approachable and trustworthy. Your encouragement, patience and loyalty will make a huge difference to their confidence and perspective on the world.
Let’s do thisMentoring
A really important part of the teamArchie ethos. Archie was lucky enough to have lots of supportive adults in his life – relatives, teachers and family friends – who could give him access to advice and opportunities or just be really good listeners. These relationships are so important as a young person embarks on a life changing opportunity, a career or just as they make that difficult transition from child to adult, from education to work.
teamArchie takes a holistic approach to supporting young people not only giving them skills, knowledge and confidence in their chosen field but also supporting their social, emotional and practical development to give them the best possible chance to fulfil their potential.

Works with young people who are passionate about football but disengaged at school. They are given support in order to finish school with the skills and grades to successfully transition to adulthood. teamArchie helps with leadership training for the youth council at FBB and provides funding for coaching, referee training and qualifications. Roya, one of the recipients of our very first football bursaries works for FBB.
Greenhouse Sports
Uses inspirational sports coaching and mentoring to counter the effects of disadvantage – engaging young people and improving their life chances. We have worked with both the youth council at Greenhouse and with the table tennis development squad (Archie loved table tennis!). The next chapter is the development of a programme called Performance Plus Group. This will really be a transformative moment for the organisation as we explore how we can continue to provide support to young people when they’ve finished one of our school programmes. We have selected the outstanding students from our previous collaborations and offered them coaching courses and an opportunity to find employment through Greenhouse and its partners.
Our Approach
Training &
Development
Training and Development: We provide comprehensive training for our mentors, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to support young people effectively. This training covers a range of topics, including communication, safeguarding, and youth development strategies.
Building
Confidence
Through our programmes, mentors learn how to build trusting relationships with young people, helping them to develop the confidence and resilience needed to pursue their goals.s
Creating
Opportunities
We work closely with partner charities and organisations to create tailored experiential programmes that provide young people with practical skills and valuable experiences in their chosen fields.
Community
Engagement
Our mentors come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wealth of life experience and approachability, making them excellent role models. By sharing their journeys and successes, they inspire young people to aim high and overcome obstacles.
